SUPPORTS CONCENTRATION: sitting on a therapy ball allows one to bounce, which provides movement input, supporting attention and focus.
BUILDS CORE MUSCLE STRENGTH: there are a variety of muscle tone and core muscle strength activities that can be achieved using your therapy ball. Having a good strong core is important for the development of gross and fine motor skills.
SIZES: if your child is going to sit on the ball at their table, it is important that you measure which size is most appropriate. Measure the distance from their foot (flat on the floor), to their knee (at a 90 degree angle) and their hip. Younger children typically use a 45cm ball; children who are 7-10 often get a 55cm ball, however, measuring is important.
